Angat Watershed Reservation   ( Doņa Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, Luzon)

Angat Watershed Reservation lies at the southernmost tip of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range,over several municipalities in Bulacan Province,primarily Dona Remedios Trinidad,Norzagaray,and San Jose del Monte. It is the main source of water of the La Mesa Dam which supplies the water needs of the National Capital Region (MetroManila and outlying provinces) and the Angat Hydroelectric Power Plant. It is also the source of irrigation for the rice fields of Bulacan and Pampanga covering about 31,000 hectares of land.

It is also home to approximately 500 indigenous Dumagat families,who live in 14 resettlement areas. 

Open to the Public,the Reservation has picnic grounds,and offers activities for nature lovers like bird watching,trekking,boating,mountain climbing,fishing,or just a place to relax and enjoy the rich biodiversity and scenic mountains. 

The Reservation is currently managed by the Department of Natural Resources,the National Power Corporation,and several other goverment agencies.

 

HOW TO GET THERE:

There are buses like Baliuag Transit which can be boarded from the Cubao station,that go to Bulacan from Manila several times a day.
