Palaui Island   (Sta. Ana, Cagayan, Luzon)

An island that is in a league of its own. Its white beaches, steep, rugged cliffs and the surrounding Babuyan Channel seduce the senses. Wave-polished corals, seashells and beautiful rock formations sprouting like mushrooms make a haven for swimming and snorkeling, scuba diving, shell collecting, fishing, forest exploration and whatever outdoor activity one can dream of. Migratory birds like white herons from neighboring countries up north of the Philippines visit the island between September and October.

How to get there:

Tuguegarao City  the capital of Cagayan is about 485 kilometers north of Metro Manila and can be reached by air-conditioned bus.
