Located in Tarlac Province near Capas,Camp O'Donnell was used as a prison camp in World War 2 where the 70,000 or so Filipino and American survivors of the Bataan Death March were brought. Camp O'Donnell was called one of history's biggest death factories. More than 1,600 Americans and 10,000 Filipinos died here in the space of six weeks. There was little food,medicine,and water and sanitation was non-existent.The prisoners were weakened by malaria,dysentery,dehydration,and starvation,and many perished under the difficult prison conditions. On June 6,1942 the Filipino soldiers were granted amnesty and released. The American prisoners were sent on to the prison camp at Cabanatuan.

Land transportation to Tarlac through to the end of the Phlippine North Expressway then take MacArthur National Highway to Tarlac. About a 2 hour drive.
