This fiesta is celebrated in the town of Irosin,Sorsogon from September 28 to 29,the feast days of St. Michael the Archangel,although festivities abound as early as August. In addition to being a commemoration of the town's patron,this fiesta is also a rediscovery of the town's cultural heritage. By tracing the struggles of the people of Irosin at various stages of its history,it aims to renew the populace's enthusiasm in community building. Among the various activities are the Mardi Gras parade,which depicts the victory of the Archangels over the Black Angel,beauty pageant or search for the Mutya ng Hin-ay,singing competition,food festival,cultural show,agro-industrial trade fair,dancing in the public auditorium,as well as the more religious novenas,procession of the patron saint and masses at the Hilltop Church.

FROM MANILA
By Air:
Take daily flights of Philippine Airlines or Air Philippines at the Manila Domestic Airport to Legazpi City. Then take a rented van or bus for a 100-kilometer two-hour scenic drive to Irosin,or the connecting bus or jeepney ride from Legazpi to Sorsogon,and then Sorsogon to Irosin.
By Land:
From various southbound bus terminals in Manila. Take the following bus companies that goes directly to Irosin: Philtranco,Elavil Transport,Peñafrancia Tours,Silverstar Lines,BLTB,CUL and AMA Transportation,or take any Visayas-bound bus and alight at Irosin for a 12-hour trip. Night and day trips are available from Ali Mall-Cubao and Pasay stations.
FROM VISAYAS
By Sea-Land:
Take ferry boats from Allen,Samar to Matnog,Sorsogon. Then take jeepneys that ply the Matnog-Irosin route for a 30-minute ride.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
The mode of transportation in the inter-barangay mobility of people and products in Irosin are mainly tricycles and jeepneys. Jeepneys and bus lines ply the inter-town as well as inter-province routes.
