The municipality of Irosin is an entry point to Bulusan Volcano Natural Park--- one of the remaining tropical forests in the Bicol Region and declared as a protected area due to its rich biological diversity. As such,it is an ideal site for mountaineering and ecological trekking. The 3,673-hectare park, almost 1/3 of the area of which is within Irosin,is now the subject of a protection and conservation drive. The trek to its peak, which is 1,565 meters ASL,immerses you in the surrounding forest's exotic flora and fauna in addition to the majestic Lake Bulusan lying 2,084 ft. upon the slopes of the still active volcano. At the summit is an exhilarating view of Sorsogon and surrounding provinces. The Mount Jormajan peak and mountain ranges in Barangay Cawayan and Tabon-tabon (Mt. Maraot Banwa) are also ecological trek sites.
