"Balay Anito" means "House of Unseen Friends (Anitos)". It is a great waterfall that cascades down to a pool about 20 meters deep,called "ban-aw". The sides are so steep one has to cling to the exposed roots of trees along the precipice in order to climb down.

How to get there:

By air: One may opt to take a plane from Manila,which lands directly in San Fernando City.

By land: There are several buses that pass through La Union. Take any bus bound for Laoag,Vigan,Abra,San Fernando La Union,or Ilocos Sur. Bus lines operating these routes are Philippine Rabbit,Partas,Farinas,Maria De Leon,Viron,Dominion,and Panther. Although the ride may be quite long,because of all the stopovers,sometimes it is simpler to take a private vehicle. Travel time is 6-8 hours by bus and 4-5 hours by car.
