Dinengdeng   (Others, Ilocos Sur, Luzon)


    INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • 1/2 cup Tomatoes,sliced
  • 2 tbsp Bagoong alamang
  • 3 cups Rice washing
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Stringbeans,cut into 2" long
  • 1 cup Squash fruit,cut into cubes
  • 2 cups Okra,cut into 2" long
  • 6 slices Squash tops
  • Broiled bangus
   
    Saute tomatoes and alamang.  Add rice washing and cover.  When mixture boils,add salt,stringbeans and squash fruit.  Cook 5 minutes.  Add okra,squash tops and broiled bangus.  Cover and cook 5 minutes longer.

6 servings: 1 slice fish + 3/4 cup vegetables per serving
