Managed by Haribon Foundation, the GuBat Learning Center (GLC) provides information on the whole range of lifeforms and ecosystems found in the Philippines. It aims to educate visitors in understanding, enjoying, and encouraging them to support the protection of biodiversity. The GLC also promotes the appreciation of the giant fruit bats of Subic and their roosting area as a site for learning and ecotourism activities.
Five sections compose the GLC,starting with the reception area that accommodates a small library and an activity area for children. The Audio-Visual room where short film clips about Haribon and Philippine biodiversity are shown. The Bat World Section which showcases facts about bats, and features Philippine species. The Rainforest World section area simulates a "walk-in-the-forest" experience at the same time, demonstrates the importance of this unique ecosystem in providing us with basic needs, such as water, food and fresh air. Lastly, the Underwater World section that illustrates how the different marine ecosystems such as the mangrove, freshwater, coral reef and sea grass help us to survive. Souvenirs in the form of T-shirts,coloring books and mugs can be found in the World of Souvenirs.
