The upper landward shore is mostly sand while the water shores are barricades of corals forming a protective reef that prevents strong waves of the Pacific from smashing onto the shore. The area is good for diving,and during calmer months,for snorkeling.
How to get there:
By land: You can catch an 8 hour bus ride from Manila to Baler.
By air: There are no commercial flights in or out of Aurora province. There are small airstrips in San Luis and Motyong,Casiguran. A chartered flight from Manila will take about 45 minutes followed by a 30 minute road trip,which you will have to arrange when you get there.
Getting around by sea is limited to short banca trips. There are no commercial ferry services available.
