How to get there: Make your way to Caliraya which is in Lumban,Laguna. Drive on past the Caliraya man-made lake and you will reach a small road that pasts little shanties on the side. This will have signs indicating resorts that are along a charming smaller lake in the town of Cavinti. All in all,its about a 2 and a half hour drive from Metro Manila. For foreigners it is good to pass the Antipolo - Famy - Paete way for a look-see at the Philippine countryside of Rizal province that blends into Laguna.
Write up: There is well-designed boutique resort established by Emma M. Imperial that has beautifully designed 2-storey cottages/houses that are beside the lake. It has a very peaceful setting and is excellent for relaxation just to get away. One can use the resort's boat to go around the lake or use their kayak for the same purpose. Arranged meals are available and are quite good. Nice place to bring foreign visitors too.
