Among other Southern Tagalog Regions,Laguna has its own Tanghalang Gattayaw,a youth theater group based in the Bukal National High School in Liliw,Laguna,conceived in 1991. This group's aim is to educate the youth on various issues in the Philippine society.

Gattayaw's major works comprise of Pitong Taon (7 years),Baliw and White Lady? White Lady! (The Mad and White Lady? White Lady!). This group specializes in youth-oriented plays. Its impressive ability to mount a play in just one day due to its members' capability of quickly memorizing the lines has made them popular to Liliw. They have been very active in other cultural events in Liliw and have also been conducting workshops for the out-of-school youth in their locale.
