Lake Caliraya   (Caliraya, Laguna, Luzon)

The man-made lake was built by American engineers in the 1930s in order to provide hydroelectric power to the region. Lake Caliraya is situated at 1,200 feet above sea level. It is endowed with cool winds,clear water,and lush greenery.

How to get there:

There are two points of entry to Laguna from Manila: via the southern route through the South Expressway which is the main southern thoroughfare,exiting through San Pedro,Biñan,and Calamba; and via the eastern route,through the towns of Antipolo or Tanay,Rizal to get to the 4th district or upland towns of the province.
