Aurora
    Balete Park   (Maria Aurora, Aurora, Luzon) Home to Asia's largest Banyan Tree,which is estimated to be more than half a century old.

Bohol
    Mahogany Man-Made Forest   (Bilar, Bohol, Visayas) In the 1960's,a nationwide reforestation program made the planting of thousands of mahogany seedlings in this area possible. This forest,now a two-kilometer stretch of full-grown mahogany trees,can be seen along the road as you travel to chocolate hills.

Isabela Kalinga
    Balbalasang-Balbalan National Park   (Balbalan, Kalinga, Luzon) This forest is protected by the Elders of Balbalasang,who among the Kalinga tribes,have the final say in tribal matters. In the 1970's and 1980's a paper plant was to be put up by Cellophil Resources Corporation,a move that was strongly and successfully opposed by the people of Balbalasang some of whom were employees of the company.

La Union

But this quaint barangay is not know for the Carcarmay Trees,which grow in abundance,but for the century old Acacia tree which stands majestically at the center of Carcarmay Community School.

Zambales
    Subic Forest Watershed Reserve   (Subic, Zambales, Luzon) Subic's forests have been preserved for decades by the US Government and the Philippine Government and remain intact.
