Bayaninanding: The Motherland and the Harvest of Maestro Amorsolo (Metropolitan Museum Of Manila)

An exhibit featuring rarely seen paintings and drawings of Fernando Amorsolo amassed from institutional and private collections. In this series of the retrospective,all works are invariably contextualized within the rhythm of rice production and consumption. The exhibit runs from September 26,2008 to January 13,2009 at the Metropolitan Museum Of Manila.

Enthused by one of the most successful examples of a synergetic relationship between man and nature in the country,the exhibit features more than 70 recent works inspired by the visits of artists Lito Baldemor,Araceli Limcaco Dans,Alfred Galura,Felipe Mayoya,Justin Nuyda,Azor Pazcoguin,Tito Sanchez,and Janice Luison-Young to Batanes in the past year. The exhibit runs from September 4,2008 to January 17,2009 at the Metropolitan Museum Of Manila.

Also known as Women in Art and Emerging Consciousness,is an organization of Filipino women artists committed to encouraging,promoting,and enhancing the artistic growth with full human development of its members,as well as other women artists and the Filipino women. Mukhang Tsinoy: Portraits by Fernando Amorsolo (Yuchengco Museum)

An exhibit showcasing Amorsolo portraits of Sino-Filipino families,some of which will be shown to the public for the first time. Other artists featured in the exhibit include Ang Kiukok,Bencab,Vicente Manansala,Guillermo Tolentino,Federico Aguilar Alcuaz,Romulo Galicano,Anita Magsaysay-Ho,Ephraim Samson,and Ting Ping Lay. The exhibit runs from Oct. 1,2008 to Jan. 17,2009 at the Yuchengco Museum.
